Support Comment
Subscribers pay for paper. Donors support the people and the ideas.
Comment does not survive on advertisements, and our subscriptions are priced for cost recovery only.
Rather, we thrive only with the support of visionaries who will invest in our efforts. When you invest in Comment as a donor, you’re not just investing in a magazine that is singing to the choir. You are joining a chorus that sings in the hope that those outside the sanctuary can hear us. And we hope we’re singing beautifully enough that they want to.
Comment is published by Cardus, a registered Canadian charity and USA 501(c)(3). Our project exists to promote public theology for the common good.
Who supports Comment?
The short answer? People like you.
Comment doesn’t rely on advertising, and paid subscriptions do not cover the full cost of producing the magazine. We depend on donors to help us thrive, and we welcome donations of any amount.
Where does my money go?
Producing an attractive, high-quality print magazine isn’t a small undertaking. It requires a number of items and services, from graphic design and print costs to website hosting, to name a few.
Yet Comment is more than just a magazine. It’s a movement, and at the heart of that movement are the people and ideas that make Comment possible.
Your donation is a vote for renewed social architecture. It’s an investment in the talented editors and writers who think deeply and engage faithfully with the broader culture. It’s another voice in our growing choir.
If you’re interested in the nuts and bolts, Cardus’s audited financial statements are available on their website.
